Set Aside Some…

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSet aside some…quiet time; time to reconnect with your inner self. It’s never a waste of time, although some people would say that. It seems that many times we only feel we’re doing something of value if we’re running around trying to do ten different things at one time and well, often making a mess of it, or, at the very least, coming away from all that feeling angry and burnt-out.

So then, what does all that running around do for us anyway? But when we make the time to connect with ourselves we renew our personal power.

Spend some quality time with yourself today. It will be a very wise investment indeed.

Are You Feeling It?

990105417_010Are you feeling it…are you feeling gratitude for the goals you set; for what you want to achieve in life? Are you feeling happy when you set your goals; feeling deep inside your spirit the joy that you will have when your goals manifest? Are you ready, ready ready to get where you want to go with a big smile on your face?

Great! Then just dance right into it being grateful every step of the way! And keep that feeling close to you.Hold it close and be happy…your dream is in its way!

Just Wait…

990108468_038Just wait…a moment or two before you fly off the handle.

Yes, in that moment when something gets to you well, it just feels like the right thing to do to get mad; to yell and perhaps even to make a scene. It might even feel good in that one moment.

But how many times have we gotten angry right away only to learn that we didn’t have all the facts first; and just maybe we got mad when there was no reason to.

If only we had held back our anger just a little longer we might have found out there was no reason to get angry at all.

Are You A Smiler Or A Frowner?

35920024Are you a smiler or a frowner? Are you a pleasure to be around; do people actively seek out your company and look forward to spending time with you or do they run and hide when they see you; not wanting to hear you whine and complain about everything from your stubbed toe to the way you feel about the state of the world today?

Look, people who smile and are pleasant not only make the people around them feel better but they make themselves feel better as well.

So be a smiler. Besides, frowning gives you wrinkles;)

Let It Slide

35920042Let it slide…the little “barbs” of life; the little “hiccups” that occur along the way.

So somebody doesn’t like your new handbag…so what? Or perhaps you overheard part of a conversation at work that goes something like this “Oh, I can’t believe she’s going out tonight with Mike? He’s not for her; they won’t get along. Can’t she see that?”

Hey, you like Mike (hey, that rhymes) and you’d like to go out with him. And that’s all that matters. Maybe you’ll get along and maybe you won’t…but don’t let an overheard conversation stop you.

Look, people are people and sometimes, well, sometimes they don’t say the nicest things, whether they mean to or not. If you spend your life analyzing every little action or word spoken by somebody else, you’ll drive yourself nuts.

Live your life the way you want to. And march to your own drum.

Ya Gotta Keep Going (or you really won’t get there)

35920007Ya gotta keep going…or else you really won’t get there.

Look, we all mess up. We all do the wrong thing, say the wrong thing and act in ways that we sometimes question ourselves. We all sometimes go in the wrong direction, and then, when we get there, well we wonder how the heck that happened! We all make mistakes.

It’s what happens AFTER we make the mistake that either sets us straight or just keeps us chasing our tails.

If we choose to wallow in our mistake, if we choose words like “why me, why me, why me?” and we just stand there scratching our heads then most likely we’ll just keep making that same old darned mistake. It will stick to us like adhesive tape.

But if we stand there and say something like “what can I learn from this? How can I turn this around so I can do better the next time?” Then that mistake will slid right off you like butter in the hot midday sun.

Look how many mistakes Edison made while inventing the light bulb. If he didn’t learn something from each mistake he made, and if he quit rather than hung in there, then you’d be reading this in the dark right now.

Think about it.

Do You Know What You Want?

35920060Do you know what you want? Have you placed your order with the Universe? Did you then affirm that you would receive it and then were you grateful in advance, giving thanks as if what you wanted was already yours? Are you excited about it and happy? Good for you.

But if you keep looking at life’s menu, picking something but then saying “oh, wait…changed my mind,” then you’re never going to get what you want because you don’t know what you want.

So get clear and then get going!
