Think Well of Yourself

There are so many people out there today who focus on only what can go wrong with their health; they see every little ache and pain as a harbinger of gloom and doom; and besides, there are just so many illnesses running around out there that they’re bound to pick up one of them. Nope, there’s just zero chance of remaining healthy in their world. They’ve got bottles of pills lined up all over the place; when they talk to their friends its not just not to say hello, but to instead play a twisted game of “Oh yeah, I’m sicker than you. I’ve got this symptom and that one, and look how many medications I take compared to you. I’ve just go to be sicker.”

And all that talk of illness just leads to more, well, illness. It’s a vicious cycle.

Now, I’m not saying that you should ignore symptoms or that you shouldn’t listen to the advice of your doctor or take medication that is prescribed for you.

But sitting around with your focus on feeling ill and getting sick while not trying to eat at least somewhat healthy and getting moderate exercise is a recipe for disaster. You’re actually opening the door and saying something like “Oh hey illness come on in and make my life miserable; I’m not going to lift a finger to prevent you from coming my way. In fact, I’m going to make it easy for you to take over.”

Don’t do that to yourself. Invest in yourself. Invest in your health. Instead of seeing how many times you can talk about getting sick, shift your focus onto staying well and enjoying your life, You deserve it.
