Speak Up!

990204522_067Speak up! Speak up if you need something or want something. Ask for it. Don’t sit in a corner expecting people to read your mind and to automatically know what you want and how you’re feeling because, many times, they don’t. If you don’t say something then chances are they’ll never know.

Okay, now, I’m not saying that you should scream at the top of your lungs, standing on a chair, thumping on your chest and ordering people around. I can almost guarantee that won’t get you what you want. But a direct and pleasant conversation, saying that you’d like something leaves you feeling confident for asking and the other person in more of a mood to accommodate you, especially if you haven’t given them a headache.

Learning how to ask and actually doing it go a long way in making a more confident YOU. Start practicing it today.
