Just in that moment- when something happens to irritate you or make you angry- you have the choice not to react to it. You have the choice to count to ten; to think of something instead that makes you smile; to direct your attention elsewhere until the feeling passes.
And it will pass quickly if you don’t give our attention to it. And you will feel better instead of all tense.
