Take a moment- to appreciate what you already have. Just for a moment stop saying to yourself “Oh I’ll be happy when I have this or that.” Instead, why not try “I’m so grateful for (you fill in the blank)
You can immediately feel the difference that it makes in the way you feel. Being grateful makes you feel good right away, while standing there yearning for what you don’t have makes you feel a little let down.
And it is from these better feeling, more positive feelings that we find we have the ability towards more positive action. And that is truly something to be grateful for.
